#ClearTheShelters Complete Info:Saturday, Aug. 19th from 11AM-3PM

Join us Saturday, August 19th from 11AM to 3PM at Watertown BMW, located at 699 Straights Turnpike in Watertown. We’ll be there along with the #SweetSuperheroes—featuring Maximus, the kitten NBC CT's viewers named!

Thanks to NBC30’s coverage of our lucky foster kittens, one of them, Captain Cookie, already found his forever family. Will Maximus be next?

We’re also getting applications for some of the other kittens, too but PLEASE BE AWARE THAT AS MUCH AS WE WISH WE COULD, WE ARE UNABLE TO DO SAME-DAY ADOPTIONS AT THIS EVENT.

We welcome you to meet our kittens, learn about cat nutrition, ask us advice about your cat or even fill out an application to adopt. If you aren’t ready to adopt, but want to help save lives, we'd love a donation of grain-free canned food (no kibble needed) or visit our Amazon Wishlist for suggestions)...and we’re in dire need of monetary donations, too. They’re the key to us being able to keep saving precious lives. Donate any amount HERE.

WE re Sorry 600

We’re a 100% volunteer, fully-donor supported, 501(c)(3) non-profit. Your donation is tax-deductible to the extent of the law.

Oh and guess what? We’ll be debuting our latest rescue: the #SunshineKittens-a family of 4 very unique looking kittens and their equally adorable mom!

Saved from Death then Featured on NBC-CT w Heidi Voight & Ted Koppy!

It's been a whirlwind since the #SweetSuperheroes arrived nearly a week ago and we can barely keep up.

TV Anchor/Reporter Heidi Voight, a die-hard cat lover, came to our main foster home to visit the kittens and to share their story with the world. One of our kittens caught her eye; a brown tabby, the tiniest of his group. She asked if her viewers could name him and how could we say no?

Little Maximus, too tired for his big photo shoot.

Since that moment, Heidi has been running a campaign on Facebook to choose a Sweet Superhero name for him. The results are in and the choice was MAXIMUS (though we admit we loved Captain Cannoli or Captain Ameowica!).

Coco and Licorice for PF R Olson
Lt Licoric and sister, the Caped Coconut are ready to be adopted! Details will be on our Adopt Page soon!

Heidi and the crew at NBC have been terrific. They're going to keep their viewers updated on how Maximus is doing until his arrival at #ClearTheShelters on August 19 from 10-5pm. We'll be at Hoffman Auto Group's Watertown BMW (YES!!! WE LOVE Bimmers) with Max and crew so we hope you'll stop by.

At Clear the Shelters, or any time, we welcome donations of high protein, no grain canned food or freeze-dried raw food (for a list, see our Amazon Wishlist). We are also in dire need of funds to help provide much-needed care for these adorable kittens. If you can't visit the kittens, please consider a donation towards their care. You can donate HERE AND your donation is Tax-deductible. We're a non-profit 501c3.

Help Pom Pom Walk

We tried. We tried so hard, but now we need you.

Pom Pom Pomegranate has no chance of walking without discomfort unless we remove her back left leg. It’s taken us 10 months, specialist visits, tests, treatments, and zillions of hours of physical therapy to come to this decision. We need all of you to make it happen.

We need to raise $6,000. by March 9th.

Give Pom Pom the gift of less pain and a chance to walk more easily.

You can use PayPal

Venmo @KittenAssociates

Checks: made out to Kitten Associates, P.O. Box 354, Newtown, CT 06470-0354

Why Now?

Pom Pom is almost a year old. Her body will not improve beyond what we've been able to do for her.

Imagine you have to keep your leg stretched out. You can’t bend it. You can’t support yourself on your foot because it bends backward at an awkward angle. The weight of the malformed leg forces your back to twist unnaturally. It causes shocks of nerve pain. How can you live like that?

Pom Pom can’t continue to live like this.

We know there are surgical risks. We’ve done extra testing to be as safe as we can be. Will this surgery make everything perfect? No, but her back leg hinders her mobility, so we feel this is her best option. We have to try for Pom Pom.

We can do it with you by our side.

Your gift is tax-deductible as we are a 501(c)3 non-profit organization.

Order your Pet Food at Chewy.com and Kitten Associates, Inc. will earn donations!
