Congratulations, Tater Tot!

It's been seven long months since we first rescued Tater Tot from near death, living on the streets. Tater was covered in fleas, starving, full of parasites and sick with an upper respiratory tract infection.

After endless trips to the Vet and loving care from his foster mom, Maria, Tater survived and became one of our most cherished foster cats. A few days ago, Tater was finally adopted!

Thank you so much to Maria and the many people who sent us donations so we could provide for Tater and others like him. Without you we can't save lives!

Congratulations, Tater and his new family! We hope you'll be happy for a long time to come.

Meet Nico!

We can't believe this gorgeous cat was in a kill shelter on death row! Once we saw his photo we knew we had to save his life. Nico is 1-2 years old and a huge silver tabby Maine Coon mix. Add lovely green eyes, a big fluffy tail and cute white fur tipped paws and you've got yourself a knockout of a cat.

Nico has been completely vetted, microchipped and tested negative for Feline Leukemia and FIV. If you're looking for a chatty, playful, friendly companion, this boy is for you! Nico also fetches and loves to play with water out of the faucet-something that Maine Coon cats love to do.

Moo Kitty Lends a Helping Paw to K.A.!

“Moo Kitty Finds a Home”, the Mom's Choice Award winning book by Valerie Veltre, is the heartwarming tale of an adult cat who loses his home when his guardian passes away and is faced with the same real-life challenges that effect so many unwanted adult cats.

In honor of Adopt a Senior Pet Month, Moo Kitty and Kitten Associates have joined forces. The message of giving an adoptable adult cat a chance is not one to be taken lightly. Through the words of Ms. Veltre, penned for children, it's clear that adult cats have a lot to offer and should be treasured, not thrown away. That's why even though we don't have a shelter and taking on adults means we may have them for over a YEAR, Kitten Associates is determined to help all cats, regardless of their age or health issues.

During the month of November, for every purchase of Moo Kitty (at a special price of 20% off!), Kitten Associates will receive a $1.00 donation.

While that may not sound like a lot, $1.00 can buy cat food and in these trying times, every dollar matters.

With the Holidays upon us, we hope you'll consider purchasing a copy or two of this beautifully illustrated story for the children in your family or for your local school's library or donate a copy to a rescue group. Our senior cats deserve a loving home and Moo Kitty helps remind us of that.
