Unspeakable Tragedy & Offer to Help

Kitten Associates was born and raised in Sandy Hook, Connecticut-a district of Newtown, CT. As the Founder of K.A., and a resident of this town for over 21 years, I extend my deepest, most sincere condolences to the families of this town-the result of a tragic shooting at the Sandy Hook Elementary School this morning.

We're a tight-knit community where everyone is your friend. I know that won't change and perhaps it will help us be even closer. We realize that cat rescue may not line up with ways to help the residents of this town, but we'd like to offer to any families with children over the age of 4 to come visit our kittens and have some time playing with them and petting them. If that would help your child smile, don't hesitate to contact us at info@kittenassociates.org and we'll set up a time you can come visit our furry friends.

Congratulations, Tater Tot!

It's been seven long months since we first rescued Tater Tot from near death, living on the streets. Tater was covered in fleas, starving, full of parasites and sick with an upper respiratory tract infection.

After endless trips to the Vet and loving care from his foster mom, Maria, Tater survived and became one of our most cherished foster cats. A few days ago, Tater was finally adopted!

Thank you so much to Maria and the many people who sent us donations so we could provide for Tater and others like him. Without you we can't save lives!

Congratulations, Tater and his new family! We hope you'll be happy for a long time to come.

Meet Nico!

We can't believe this gorgeous cat was in a kill shelter on death row! Once we saw his photo we knew we had to save his life. Nico is 1-2 years old and a huge silver tabby Maine Coon mix. Add lovely green eyes, a big fluffy tail and cute white fur tipped paws and you've got yourself a knockout of a cat.

Nico has been completely vetted, microchipped and tested negative for Feline Leukemia and FIV. If you're looking for a chatty, playful, friendly companion, this boy is for you! Nico also fetches and loves to play with water out of the faucet-something that Maine Coon cats love to do.

Help Pom Pom Walk

We tried. We tried so hard, but now we need you.

Pom Pom Pomegranate has no chance of walking without discomfort unless we remove her back left leg. It’s taken us 10 months, specialist visits, tests, treatments, and zillions of hours of physical therapy to come to this decision. We need all of you to make it happen.

We need to raise $6,000. by March 9th.

Give Pom Pom the gift of less pain and a chance to walk more easily.

You can use PayPal

Venmo @KittenAssociates

Checks: made out to Kitten Associates, P.O. Box 354, Newtown, CT 06470-0354

Why Now?

Pom Pom is almost a year old. Her body will not improve beyond what we've been able to do for her.

Imagine you have to keep your leg stretched out. You can’t bend it. You can’t support yourself on your foot because it bends backward at an awkward angle. The weight of the malformed leg forces your back to twist unnaturally. It causes shocks of nerve pain. How can you live like that?

Pom Pom can’t continue to live like this.

We know there are surgical risks. We’ve done extra testing to be as safe as we can be. Will this surgery make everything perfect? No, but her back leg hinders her mobility, so we feel this is her best option. We have to try for Pom Pom.

We can do it with you by our side.

Your gift is tax-deductible as we are a 501(c)3 non-profit organization.

Order your Pet Food at Chewy.com and Kitten Associates, Inc. will earn donations!
