After a few days at the Vet, I'm happy to report that Shorty is “THRIVING” according to Dr. Ben. We couldn't be more pleased! Now we're helping find him a new forever home. Shorty is very sweet and friendly. He is FIV+ which means he has a compromised immune system. It is only contagious to other cats through a DEEP puncture wound. Shorty is too mellow to bite much of anything other than his food. Shorty needs to be on GRAIN FREE CANNED food to keep him from having another episode of urinary tract blockage.

Contact us at info@kittenassociates.org if you're interested in learning more about this gentle giant.

SAVE SHORTY!

We have en EMERGENCY situation with a kitty in Newtown, CT. His owner cannot afford Vet care for his cat, Shorty, who has a urinary tract blockage. This could be FATAL if not treated ASAP. His owner loves Shorty and realizes it would be better if Shorty had a family who could provide for his care in the days to come. Until we can find that new forever home, we need your help to raise funds to save Shorty's life.

Please help us make a little magic happen. We've GOT to raise the funds in the next 24 to 48 hrs if at all possible.

SHORTY's a sweet cat who needs our love and someday soon a new forever home, too. So if you have a mad crush on this orange and white cutie, let us know! We want to kiss that pink nose!

How Kitties for Kids Works

Kitten Associates is a small, home-foster based cat rescue group located in Newtown, CT. Due to the recent tragedy in our town, we're going to open our doors, by appointment only, to residents of this community. We know the healing power of time spent petting a cat or watching them play with a toy can bring to a child and his or her parents. Each session will last for 30 minutes, but longer periods or repeat visits can be requested. For safety reasons we can only allow children over the age of 4 to meet our foster cats and kittens.

After visiting our kittens we'll be giving your child a FREE plush kitty as a way for us to give back and say THANK YOU to the people of Newtown for letting us be a part of this community.

If your child is under the age of 4 and over 3 years of age, we can provide a plush kitty instead of having a visit with our real kitties.

We're here to help put smiles back on your child's face and we hope that in our way we can do that.
